Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Payroll Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in payroll processing, a strong understanding of payroll compliance, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. This role will require you to manage payroll tasks with accuracy, resolve queries, and maintain an excellent client experience.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:
    • Accurately process end-to-end payroll for assigned clients in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and organizational policies.
    • Calculate and verify payroll inputs, including salaries, bonuses, deductions, reimbursements, and statutory contributions.
  2. Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, such as PF, ESI, TDS, and any other payroll-related regulations.
    • Maintain and update employee records, payroll files, and audit-ready documentation.
  3. Client Interaction:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for payroll-related client inquiries, providing prompt and professional support.
    • Resolve client payroll issues and discrepancies efficiently, ensuring a positive client experience.
    • Work closely with clients to gather payroll inputs, clarify queries, and communicate any changes or updates.
  4. Reporting & Reconciliation:
    • Prepare payroll reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for internal and client review.
    • Reconcile payroll accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
    • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure alignment of payroll with financial records.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes and improve efficiency.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, payroll legislation changes, and best practices in payroll management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling payroll for a multi-location or high-volume organization.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of process automation and efficiency improvement techniques in payroll.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in payroll software (e.g., GreytHR, Keka, Zoho Payroll) and MS Excel.
    • Familiarity with statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, and Income Tax laws.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong client-handling abilities, with a customer-focused approach and problem-solving attitude.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing payroll data and calculations.
